Legislative Priorities

Key Issues
Parental Rights
Families not the state should guide their children. I will work to restore parental rights where government has overstepped and ensure schools partner with parents, not replace them.
Energy & Economic Growth
Colorado can power its future with strong, balanced energy policies. I will support an energy strategy that creates jobs, keeps costs affordable, and positions our state as a leader in both traditional and emerging energy resources.
Innovation & AI
The next generation of opportunity will be built on technology. I will champion policies that prepare Colorado to lead in AI and innovation, making sure our state stays competitive while creating pathways for students and workers.
Stronger Communities
Safe neighborhoods, great schools, and local investment help communities thrive. I will focus on policies that strengthen Commerce City, Bennett, Strasburg, Deer Trail, Byers, Westminster, and the unincorporated areas of Adams and Arapahoe counties so resources go where families actually live and work, not just where lobbyists operate.
Fixing the School Pupil Formula
Our schools deserve fair funding that matches the number of students they serve. I will fight to reform the state’s pupil formula so that resources follow the data, giving schools in our district the tools they need to succeed and helping every child reach their full potential.
Small Business & Jobs
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. I will fight to cut red tape, encourage entrepreneurship, and create a business climate where local companies can grow and hire.
Water, Agriculture & Property Rights
Colorado law treats water rights as protected property, and many farms and ranches depend on those long-held rights to survive. I will oppose “buy and dry” policies where farmland is purchased only to transfer its water away, permanently drying up farms and rural communities. As your senator, I will defend agricultural and private property rights, protect well users and small acreage landowners, and support practical solutions like storage and conservation so both our cities and our farming communities can succeed without sacrificing one for the other.
